Understanding How Echo AI Analyzes Your Portfolio Data

Echo AI surfaces patterns in your portfolio using widely recognized, industry-standard benchmarks; the same general metrics used across professional financial software utilities. This guide explains the specific thresholds and mathematical methods behind that analysis, giving you full transparency into where your dashboard insights come from.
Important Note: Echo AI provides descriptive analytics rather than personalized financial advice. The benchmarks detailed below are general industry metrics used to organize your data, not a recommendation for your specific financial situation.
1. Single-Position Concentration
To help you spot over-exposure, Echo AI measures the value of any single holding as a percentage of your total calculated portfolio. We reference general mathematical diversification metrics, not rules specific to your personal profile, to categorize position sizes:
Echo AI applies this scale consistently across every holding in your account. It does not adjust based on your personal goals, risk tolerance, or time horizon, as the platform does not process that information.
2. Sector Concentration
We measure the combined value of all holdings within a single GICS sector (e.g., Information Technology, Healthcare) as a percentage of your total portfolio or stock sleeve.
The Benchmark: Broad market index funds (such as the S&P 500) typically weight no single sector above 25% to 30% at the index level, serving as a general reference point. Sector weights exceeding these levels are flagged as concentrated.
Granular Insight: Because a single large holding can account for most of a sector's total weight, Echo AI separately highlights when one asset is the primary driver of a sector concentration figure.
3. Asset Class Allocation
Echo AI measures how your holdings divide across ETFs, individual stocks, mutual funds, and cryptocurrency. We describe these allocation mixes structurally (e.g., "ETF-heavy" or "equity-heavy") relative to common distribution patterns. We do not assign your portfolio to a risk category or evaluate whether an allocation is appropriate for you; we simply display the calculated breakdown so you can review your own data.
4. Short Position & Inverse Exposure Identification
We track positions with negative calculated value or opposite directional exposure relative to your long holdings. If a short position offsets long exposure elsewhere in your imported data, we display that mechanical mathematical relationship (showing how the position value moves inversely). We do not evaluate whether a short position is properly sized, timed, or suitable for your strategy.
5. Fund Expense Ratios
Where available from fund data providers, we evaluate the expense ratios of the ETFs and mutual funds in your portfolio. We compare these against industry-wide average expense ratios (which vary by fund category) as a baseline, rather than judging whether your specific funds are appropriate for your account.
What Echo AI Does Not Do
To maintain clear boundaries as a software provider, Echo AI is strictly an analytical assistant. It does not:
Direct you to buy, sell, hold, or rebalance any asset.
Determine whether a given concentration level is appropriate for your personal profile.
Factor in your income, debt, personal financial goals, or risk tolerance.
Recommend target allocation percentages or model portfolios.
Act as a substitute for a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer.
Why We Use General Thresholds Instead of Personalized Ones
Orizon Analytics is a software provider and financial analytics platform, not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner. The insights and benchmarks generated by Echo AI are strictly educational and descriptive tools designed to help you organize and review your own portfolio data. For tailored financial advice, portfolio strategies, or formal suitability reviews, please consult a licensed financial adviser.
Highlight
Echo AI turns complex portfolio math into clear, objective insights by applying standardized industry benchmarks. Because Orizon operates strictly as an analytical software tool rather than a financial advisor, Echo focuses purely on descriptive analytics; giving you transparent, data-driven visibility into your portfolio structure while leaving the strategy entirely in your hands.
