How to Connect Your Brokerage Account

This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your brokerage account to your Orizon Analytics profile. Connecting your account enables a secure data sync to provide comprehensive portfolio analysis.

Step 1: Navigate to the Connections Page

From the main navigation menu, select Connections.

On this page, you will see two sections:

  • Connected Account: Displays all the brokerage accounts you have already linked.

  • Connect New Broker: Where you begin the process of linking a new brokerage.

Step 2: Find Your Brokerage

In the Connect New Broker section, you can locate your institution in one of two ways:

  • Search: Use the search bar to find your brokerage by name.

  • Browse: Scroll through the list of supported brokerages.

Once you have located your brokerage, click the Connect button on its card.

Step 3: Authenticate and Sync Your Data

Clicking the connect button will open an authentication dialogue. You will be guided through a secure, read-only process to grant access to Orizon Analytics.

  • Depending on your brokerage, you may be asked to log in directly within the dialogue or be redirected to your brokerage's official website.

  • Please follow the on-screen instructions carefully. We utilize SnapTrade, a third-party service, to facilitate this connection.

Once completed, your new brokerage will appear under Connected Accounts. While many updates occur shortly after connection, the initial sync of historical data may take up to 24 hours depending on the volume of your records.

During this period, our analytical tools will aggregate and process your data to provide the various reports and metrics available on the platform.

The connection process is designed to be streamlined and utilizes industry-standard security protocols. We only request read-only access, meaning Orizon Analytics can never execute trades or move funds. Your security and privacy are fundamental priorities for our firm.
