Securing Your Account with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Orizon uses a progressive MFA system that keeps your account secure without getting in the way of your daily workflow.
How MFA works at Orizon
We introduce security requirements at the moments they matter most, rather than blocking access to the platform upfront.
While exploring the platform: if you haven't enabled MFA yet, you'll see a prompt on your dashboard encouraging you to set it up. You can dismiss it and continue using manual entry tools, but we recommend enabling it early.
When connecting a brokerage: MFA is required before you can link any external financial account. You'll be prompted to set it up at that point if you haven't already.
Setting up MFA
Setup takes less than two minutes:
Go to My Account → Profile Information → Security Settings and click Enable.

Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password all work).
Enter the 6-digit code your app generates to confirm the link.
Save your recovery codes somewhere secure, like a password manager or physical safe. (Please note: Recovery codes are the only way to recover access if you lose your authenticator device).
Staying logged in: Device Trust
When logging in, check "Trust this device for 30 days" to skip the MFA code on that browser for 30 days. You'll be asked to verify again once that window expires.
Managing your security settings
From My Account → Profile Information → Security Settings you can:
Clear trusted devices: immediately removes trusted status from all browsers, requiring a fresh MFA code on next login across every device. Use this if you logged in from a shared computer or suspect unauthorized access.
A note on what Orizon can access
Brokerage connections are strictly read-only. Orizon can view your transaction history and holdings; it cannot place trades, move funds, or access your banking credentials.
