This article explains how to use the Estimated Monthly Income graph, a stacked bar chart that provides a visual breakdown of your future dividend cash flow.

Locating Your Estimated Monthly Income Graph

You'll find the Estimated Future Monthly Income graph on your Portfolio section under the Dividend Income tab; a section dedicated to your dividend investment earnings.

What the Graph Shows You

The Estimated Monthly Income graph is a stacked bar chart that gives you a clear, month-by-month view of your future dividend income. Each bar represents a single month and is divided into two parts:

  • Announced Dividends (Bottom Segment): This part of the bar shows the total amount of dividends that have been officially announced (declared) by the companies you own. This is the more certain portion of your estimated income for that month.

  • Forecast Dividends (Top Segment): This segment represents the total amount of dividends that are estimated for that month, based on historical data and company trends. This is your estimated, but not yet confirmed, income.

The color of each segment corresponds to its status, making it easy to see the breakdown at a glance.

Navigating the Graph

The graph is designed for easy and intuitive navigation:

  • Date Range: The graph starts with the next calendar month and extends all the way to December of the following year. For example, if it is August 2025, the graph's first bar will be for September 2025, and it will continue to December 2026. This range automatically updates at the start of each new month.

  • Hover Functionality: When you hover your cursor over any bar, a tooltip will appear, providing a detailed breakdown for that month:

    • The specific month and year (e.g., "September 2025").

    • The total Announced dividends for that month.

    • The total Forecast dividends for that month.

  • Horizontal Scroll: The graph is horizontally scrollable, allowing you to easily view all the months within its date range.

Important to Note

Total Estimated Income" and "Forecast Income" are built on historical data and current portfolio holdings. These are estimations, not guarantees. Dividend payments are subject to change, suspension, or elimination by the issuing company at any time, and can be influenced by various market, economic, and company-specific factors. Refer to our Terms of Service for more details.
