The Exit History page serves as your central analytical ledger designed to analyze trade history filtered to full and partial closing transactions, across current and historical positions. Rather than looking at aggregate portfolio totals, this page isolates your exits to give you a complete, transaction-level audit trail of your realized gains, losses, and capital recovery over time.

Understanding Your Exit History Ledger

Every transaction that fully or partially exits a position is tracked row-by-row. Instead of a basic data list, the table is structured around key metrics designed to give you strategic insights into your trading performance:

  • Trade ID & Type: Each closing transaction is uniquely indexed alongside its position designation (Buy/Long or Sell/Short), making it easy to cross-reference specific exits.

  • Symbol, Security Type, & Exchange: Quickly identify the exact asset, asset class (such as stocks, ETFs, or crypto), and the market exchange where the exit occurred.

  • Data Source: Know instantly whether a closing execution was imported automatically from your connected brokerages (e.g., Fidelity, Schwab) or managed manually within your Orizon account.

  • Open Price, Quantity, & Cost Basis: Review the initial entry price, the specific quantity of shares closed in the transaction, and the total cost basis tied to those units, providing a clear foundation for your performance math.

  • Open Date & Days Open: Tracks how long the position was held before being closed.

Note on Brokerage Synced Trades: Due to data limitations from certain financial institutions, some brokerage-synced trades may occasionally arrive without an open date.

When this occurs, both the Open Date and Days Open fields will appear blank.

However, you can easily resolve this by using the Edit Closed Trade modal (…) to manually input the missing open date, instantly unlocking accurate duration calculations.

  • Close Price & Total from Close: View the exact execution price of your exit alongside the total monetary proceeds generated from closing the transaction.

  • Close Date: Records the exact calendar day your exit executed.

  • Realized P/L: Instantly displays your final profit or loss from the closed trade (calculated as total proceeds minus cost basis), color-coded with instant visual feedback (Green for gains, Red for losses, and Grey for break-even outcomes).

Managing Your Exit History

The Exit History table provides seamless control depending on how the data entered your profile:

  • Brokerage-Sourced Trades: Exits imported automatically via Plaid or SnapTrade are locked to preserve institutional accuracy and data integrity.

  • Manual Entries: For self-managed positions, you have full administrative power. Clicking the horizontal ellipses icon on any manual row opens the Trades Options menu, allowing you to edit or delete the closed entry.

  • Automatic Portfolio Reversion: If you manually edit or delete a closed trade, Orizon’s system intelligently and automatically reverses the effects of the initial closing, updating your portfolio metrics to reflect the new state instantly.
