Stocks Allocation: Analyze Individual Equity Holdings
Written By Oscar
Last updated About 7 hours ago
The Stocks page provides an analytical overview of your individual equity investments. While other areas of the Orizon platform analyze your total wealth or specialized funds, this page isolates your stock holdings to assist you in analyzing concentration, sector allocation, and specific ticker performance.
1. High-Level Equity Insights
At the top of the page, the Stocks Summary Cards provide a snapshot of your equity portfolio based on the most recent available data.
Total Stocks Value: The aggregate market value of your individual stock holdings.
Unique Stock Holdings: A count of the unique equity tickers currently in your portfolio.
Unrealized Gain (Stocks): An estimate of the total profit or loss for your stock positions.
Portfolio Percentage: A metric that visualizes how much of your entire Orizon portfolio is weighted toward individual stocks versus other asset classes like ETFs or Mutual Funds.
2. Visualizing Your Diversification Strategy
To assist you in monitoring portfolio balance, the Stocks page utilizes two dynamic visual tools designed to organize complex data:
Sector Allocation Graph: This visualization shows your diversification across market sectors. By viewing the weight and percentage of each column, you can identify your exposure levels in areas such as Information Technology, Utilities, or Real Estate.
Interactive Allocation Treemap: The Treemap uses size and color to represent the weight of your holdings. This tool allows for a drill-down workflow: you can click on a broad Sector category to reveal the specific Industry Groups within it, assisting you in identifying the drivers of your sector concentration.
3. The Detailed Allocation Ledger
For granular analysis, the Portfolio Allocation Table offers a structured view of your stocks. This interactive table uses an expandable hierarchy to bridge the gap between sectors and individual tickers:
Hierarchical View: You can start at the Sector level to see aggregated totals, expand to see Industry Groups, and further drill down to individual symbols.
Data Points: This allows you to review the quantity, estimated market value, and percentage share of each stock you own within its respective category.
Why Use the Stocks Page?
The Stocks Page is designed to move beyond simple price tracking. By combining summary metrics with multi-layered visual tools and a structured allocation table, Orizon Analytics aims to provide the information necessary to manage your equity exposure and ensure your stock strategy aligns with your broader financial objectives.
